4. Art of Creating and Managing Intention — Lesson 1
Art of Creating and Managing Intention — Lesson 1 (A1–A2, short)
Where to start?
Start with a simple formula:
“I declare my intention…”
You must clearly say what you want.
Know your goal. Focus on the result.
In Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, a character says:
If you don’t know where you go, any road is fine.
This means: you must know your direction.
Many people know what they don’t want, but they don’t know what they want.
For example, a person says: “I don’t want problems” or “I don’t want illness.”
But this is not a goal.
A goal must be positive and clear.
Not: “I want to stop drinking.”
Better: “I want a healthy and sober life.”
Ask yourself:
What do I want?
What do I need for a happy life?
Write your intentions on paper.
Imagine a magician can give you anything. What do you ask?
Example intentions:
a job I love
good health
good friends
a happy family
money
a home
healthy loved ones
Check your list. Maybe some goals are old and not important now.
When you declare your intention, your mind starts working. Thoughts and emotions move you forward.
Exercise — Life Situation Check
Look at different areas of your life.
Physical health
Am I healthy?
Do I exercise?
Do I sleep well?
Do I eat well?
What can I improve?
Mental state
Do I feel calm and happy?
What worries me?
Do I learn and grow?
Do I work on my dream?
Family
Am I happy with my family life?
Do I give time to my family?
What do I want to change?
Work
Why do I work?
Do I like my job?
Does it help my dream?
What do I want in 5–10 years?
Money
Am I satisfied with my finances?
Do I have a financial plan?
What can I improve?
Home
Do I like where I live?
What can I change?
Social life
Do I have good relationships?
Do I help people?
Do people support me?
Do I have friends?
Repeat this exercise sometimes and compare answers.
If you care about your body and mind, other areas of life also improve.
