📖 Reading

The Busy Week

Last Monday, Emma had a very busy day. In the morning, she opened her email and read an important message from her teacher. The class had a new project, and everyone had to write an article for the school magazine.

Emma took her notebook and textbook to school. During the lesson, she wrote some notes and started working on her article. Her teacher said it was very good.

After school, Emma went to the city centre. She saw an interesting advertisement for a photography course. If she finished the course, she could get a diploma. She took a form to join the course.

Next, Emma visited the bank to pay a bill. Then she went to the post office. She bought a postcard for her grandmother and sent a letter to her cousin, who was studying abroad.

On her way home, she stopped at a café. She looked at the menu, ordered a sandwich and a cup of tea, and wrote about her day in her diary.

In the evening, Emma wanted to book a holiday. She checked that she had her passport and driving licence. Then she bought a train ticket online.

Before going to bed, she read the newspaper, enjoyed a funny comic, and texted her best friend:

"Today was busy, but I finished almost everything!"

📖 Reading Comprehension

Answer the questions.

  1. What did Emma read first in the morning?

  2. What did the teacher ask the students to write?

  3. Where did Emma see the advertisement?
