The Barista Who Almost Broke the Internet

Sofia worked as a barista in a small coffee shop.

One quiet Monday morning, there weren't many customers, so she decided to update the café's website.

First, she opened the homepage and added new photos of coffee and cakes.

Then she created a new web page with the weekly menu.

Everything looked perfect.

Suddenly, she lost her internet connection.


Sofia tried to connect again, but nothing happened.

She restarted the computer.

Still nothing.

Then she called her manager.

He said,

"Maybe the server has a problem."

While she was waiting, Sofia accidentally pressed the "Publish" button several times.

When the connection came back, the website published the same menu twelve times!

Customers opened the website and laughed because every web page said:

"Buy one cappuccino and get eleven free!"

Within twenty minutes, hundreds of people visited the website.

Everyone wanted free coffee.

The manager quickly checked the data, fixed the mistake, and thanked Sofia for telling him immediately.

At the end of the day, Sofia smiled and said,

"Next time I'll make sure I have an internet connection before I become a web designer."
