    📖 NEW VOCABULARY

💬 VOCABULARY PRACTICE

📖 READING

Sophia's New MacBook

Sophia works as an office manager.

Every morning she answered hundreds of emails, organised meetings, wrote long texts, and prepared different projects.

One Monday, her old laptop became so slow that she had enough time to make coffee, water the flowers, and even eat breakfast before it opened one document.

She laughed,

"Maybe my laptop needs a vacation!"

The next day she bought a beautiful new MacBook.

Suddenly everything changed.

Her emails opened in seconds.

Her projects became much easier to organise.

She even found an old notebook with funny office jokes.

During lunch she read a newspaper, found a travel advertisement and said,

"I'm going to visit Italy this summer!"

Her friend smiled.

"Don't forget your passport and your ticket this time."

Sophia laughed because last year she travelled to the airport with everything except her passport.

Luckily, she found it under her English textbook.

When she came home, she wrote a short text about her funny morning and sent a postcard to her grandmother.

At the end of the week her boss said,

*"Great job! Your project was excellent."

Sophia smiled.

"Maybe it wasn't only me… maybe my MacBook deserves a promotion too!"
